A Bit of History about Covenant Heights Camp

We value our legacy.

We are so grateful to all the people who have come before us to make this camp, Covenant Heights, the special place that it is. And, it truly is special. Coming off of a summer full of kids, five weeks of our own programmed camps and five weeks of other great ministries that we support like Wapiyapi and Royal Family Kids Camp, it is impossible to not sit back and say, "Praise God. God is good."

The kids will tell you.
"I heard God speak to me for the first time."
"I learned that God is always with us, and if you take the time to listen, you can hear him speaking to you"
That is only two of so, so many. Not to mention kids that have decided to follow Jesus, as the great old hymn goes.

So, as stated we value our legacy. Why? Because we are the past: we are made up of all the events, people, experience... whether good, bad, or indifferent... that have happened to us. And, it is the sum of those experiences that guides and influences us in the present. One of the best ways we can understand who we are and how we got to be that way is by knowing the past. Covenant Heights is not an exception, for we are most certainly a collection of events, people, sacrifices, joy and God's faithfulness.

So this is a bit of history, but also just a "shout out," that is a "thank you" to all who have come before and to God's faithfulness, because we are our past.

And finally, here is a short slideshow with some fun pictures of the past as well as this link which will take you to Our History >>

Please leave a comment about your connection or history with Covenant Heights. We'd love to hear about your part in the past!
