Teachers Touch the Future

All of you who pray for, donate to, think about, or volunteer at this camp, are the same people that are impacting lives.

We often talk about the kids and campers who come to summer camp and outdoor education as those whose lives are impacted. We don't talk as often about the staff. Of course, we have a few folks up here all year round, but we must give credit and lots and lots of accolades (aka, props) to the seasonal staff that give of their lives to change lives!

This year alone we have had probably 40 college aged (sometimes a bit older) young adults come to camp to invest in younger lives. Like the quote in the title says, "Teachers touch the future."

I enjoyed hearing these quotes about teaching and education:
"Discover wildlife:  be a teacher!  ~Author Unknown"
"Teaching is leaving a vestige of one self in the development of another.  And surely the student is a bank where you can deposit your most precious treasures."  ~Eugene P. Bertin
"In teaching you cannot see the fruit of a day's work.  It is invisible and remains so, maybe for twenty years."  ~Jacques Barzun
"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops."  ~Henry Brooks Adams
With that said, I want to show you a few of our outdoor education from this fall in action. They are great and deserve our thanks.
