Cabins 5 and 6

This week we started the remodeling project (Part of the Good to Great Projects) on the seasonal staff/guest housing across the street. We got all the old drywall and carpet out, and gutted the bathrooms. The old copper piping and other scrap metal was recycled at a scrap metal yard. We save the money from metal recycling to fund various maintenance needs. For example, our latest purchase was a 14 ft hydraulic dump trailer, funded by several scrap metal trips and selling a vehicle no longer used by camp. This trailer will make a huge difference to me as Maintenance Director, especially this winter when I don't have any helpers. I'll use it for taking trash to the dump, getting rid of brush from trees killed by pine beetle, and hauling dirt to repair the roads around camp.
Thank you for your interest in and support of this project!

Mike Cousineau
Maintenance Director
